Frankie Callison

July 21, 1937 — May 12, 2010

On May 12, 2010, Frankie J Callison entered into the gates of Heaven and was greeted by angels singing and rejoicing to receive such a dedicated Father, Husband and Papa. Frank was brought into this world by two very caring parents, Frankie and Vada Callison on July 21, 1937. Frank was born and raised in Pryor, Oklahoma and made the decision upon graduating high school to serve his country and joined the Air Force in 1957 and served four years. Upon his completion of service he met Sharon Wright and married on July 15, 1961. The two of them enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 36 years and brought into the world three children, Ricky B. Callison, Cindy R. Callison and Becky L. Callison-Wilson. Many years were spent together as a family at the lake, cookouts and traveling while they worked and raised their children in Tulsa. As the children grew older and developed lives of their own, Frank and Sharon could always be found on the lake fishing and hosting cookouts. In 1996 they achieved their dream of building a home on Lake Hudson and moved from Tulsa and retired from TWA. Upon his retirement from TWA he remained close with all his fellow co-workers as they were considered family to him. Their home was always opened to family and friends. Unfortunately, their marriage was ended too short and Sharon went to be with the Lord in February 1997 after a very courageous and long battle with cancer. Frank stayed very busy with friends, family and his grandchildren along with becoming an active member of First Freewill Baptist of Pryor. Upon his friendship with a wonderful woman turning into more, he married Kay Odle on February 14, 2005. During their five years of marriage, Kay was not only his wife but his best friend and they enjoyed spending time together visiting friends, family and being an active member of First Baptist of Salina which was very important to them both. One of their most memorable moments was spending 10 days on an Alaskan cruise in 2007. Once Frank became ill in September 2009, Kay was by his side praying and holding his hand through many rough days and nights up until the day the Lord decided it was time that Frank join him. Frank was very proud of all of his grandchildren, Hayden A. Wilson, age 15, Clayton B. Callison, age 12, Madison B. Wilson, age 12, Jenna E. Callison, age 10 and Evan M. Wilson, age 7. One thing that Frank would wish from all his friends and family, donéâ‚â„t mourn of his leaving this world, but live each day loving one another and enjoy your life to the fullest. Frank is survived by his wife, Kay Callison; brother, Robert Callison; son, Rick Callison; daughter, Becky Callison-Wilson and daughter, Cindy Callison; many other relatives and friends.
