Freda Hobbs

Freda Mae Hobbs, 69, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on October 9, 1950 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma; the daughter of Fred and Alice (Beherns) Daniels. Freda married Howard Hobbs on July 21, 1967. She worked in the home most of her life and after her children were grown, went to work for a time at the Pryor Junior High as a cook. She has lived in the Adair area most of her life and enjoyed spending time with her family. Freda especially enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. She loved flowers of all kinds and working puzzles. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2019 in The Gathering Church in Adair with Pastor Josh Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hobbs Cemetery in Adair with Jim Reed, Kevin White, Leroy Hobbs, Johnathon Scheffel, Gary Younger, and Randall Daniels serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Josh Reed, John Reed, Tim Culp, Chris Herman, and Joe Herman. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Freda is survived by her husband, Howard Hobbs of the home; daughters, Jennifer Hobbs of Rogers, Arkansas and Gloria Paul and husband Rodney of Adair, Oklahoma; brothers, Marty Daniels of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Art Daniels and wife Francine of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Raymond Daniels and wife Shirley of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; sister, Ellen Sisney and husband Doy of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; 1 granddaughter, Megan Paul and Jeremy Batman; 2 great grandchildren, Bryant and Wyatt Batman; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alice Daniels; brother, Fred Daniels and Davie Daniels; and sisters, Rosie Reed and Frances Whisman.
