Fredrick Blanchard

Fredrick B. Blanchard, 76, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 in Pryor. He was born on January 19, 1942 in San Francisco, California; the son of Barnabas and Gloria (Harris) Blanchard. Fredrick faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force, and after being honorably discharged became ordained as a minister. He loved serving God and spreading the word to many different churches and to people he met along the way. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and tinkering with cars. When he was able, he looked forward to riding his motorcycle. Fredrick attended church services at Community Baptist Church in Pensacola. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Pryor with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Fredrick is survived by his wife, Ava Blanchard of the home; son, Frederick Blanchard of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Beatrice "Bea" Roberson and husband Kelly of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Natasha Oathout and husband Nathan and Jeremy Roberson and wife Whitney; great granddaughter, Blakeley Roberson; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Sandra Glass of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Dawn Dyer and husband Ron of Mountainsberg, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Judy Blanchard; parents, Barnabas and Gloria Blanchard; sister, Geraldine Wilmington; and brothers, Barney Blanchard and Robert Glass.
