Gail Taylor

Gail Ann Taylor, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Born on December 17, 1949, in Pryor, Oklahoma, Gail was a cherished member of her community and leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. 

Gail owned and operated Gail's Beauty Shop for an incredible 50 years. Her commitment to providing quality service and creating a welcoming space made her salon a beloved establishment in the area. Gail's talent in the beauty industry was unmatched, and she touched the lives of many through her work.

Beyond her career, Gail found joy in various hobbies and interests. She always enjoyed a trip to the casino. Fishing was another passion she shared with her husband whom she married on October 6, 1975 and spent many wonderful years together until his passing in 2006. 

Gail's memory lives on through her surviving family members and friends. She is survived by nieces, Kim Wade and husband Ben of Chouteau, OK, and Jennifer and Charles Arrowsmith of Pryor, OK; nephew, Scott Walters and wife Tabatha of Chouteau, OK; brothers-in-law Mike Walters from Chouteau, OK, and Michael Tatum of Texas; grandson, Cameron Taylor of Tampa, Florida; as well as numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Taylor; son, Jason Taylor; sister, Vicki Walters; and parents, Louie and Martha Tatum.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
