Gary Nix

Gary Mike Nix, born in Crossville, Alabama was a man known for his playful and love for teasing others. He passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy that touched the hearts of many.
 
 He had a vibrant personality and was fond of making jokes and pulling pranks on those around him. Despite his mischievous side, he had a kind spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. His hobbies included trucking, fishing, gardening, and caring for his beloved animals, particularly his dogs and cats.
 
 He is preceded in death by his parents, NJ and Mary (Floyd) Nix, as well as his older brother. He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy DeTemple, of the home; children Alexis Nix and Ashley Hardin of Oklahoma, Emily Whitten, Shanna Pendergraft, Jeremy Nix, and Christopher Nix, all residing in Alabama; his sister, Phyllis Rogers of Alabama; along with grandchildren Zaylee Nix-Nelson, Karsyn Nix-Nelson, Cooper Alexander Wilson, and Rosalie Marie Hardin.
 
 Gary will be dearly missed but remembered for the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of those around him.
