Gary Franklin Talley, 65, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his home. He was born February 24, 1947, the son of Lloyd Talley and Mildred (Welchel) Talley. Gary moved to the Pryor area 2 years ago, coming from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Gary served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed Art and drawing. He also enjoyed spending time on computers. Gary was actively involved in his church. He graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1975 and worked for OSU Medical Center as a Pharmacist. He loved baseball, and especially his team, the St. Louis Cardinals. He was also an Oklahoma City Thunder fan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Shipman's Funeral Home chapel with Bishop Bell officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma with John Talley, Bryan Talley, Matt Talley, Larry Talley, Dennis Talley and Mike Talley serving as casket bearers. Gary is survived by his sons, John and wife Lori of Eureka, KS, Bryan Talley of Hazelwood, MO, and Matt Talley of Tulsa, OK; 3 daughters, Jennifer Jordan of Germany, Erin Talley of Tulsa, OK, and Crystal Sloan of Pryor; 3 brothers, Larry Talley of O'Fallon, MO, Dennis Talley of O'Fallon, MO, and Richard Talley of Nixa, Mo; 6 grandchildren, Tana, Remington, Joey, Christian, Jaelynn, and Ty.; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mildred Talley.
