He was a favorite amongst his classmates, co-workers, family and friends. He had a booming laugh, a vivacious smile and tweakling blue eyes, and was always up to something. He loved pulling pranks and eating good Cajun food. Shrimp Po’boys was one of his favorites. Who am I kidding? He loved anything fried. You could easily say he was a Southerner. Gary had different occupations. He was a crane operator, home remodeler, carpenter and his last job was a fabricator at Mid-America Machining, Inc. His favorite bible verse was, “The Lord is the strength of my life..” Psalm 27:1
Gary was married to Gina Alvis Watts, of Pryor. Their friendship and love began over 27 years ago. He once told her that he fell in love with her when she chipped his front tooth while they were sparring in Kung-Fu. He said, “That’s the girl for me.” They enjoyed their family and friends together, jet skiing, traveling, camping, collecting sea shells, cooking, laughing and dancing. He was the best wedding dancers of all time. Pastor Darian Rains, of Your Place Church, said to Gina, “The man knew Jesus, and right now he is standing in all reality of heaven…taking it all in.”
