Gaye Lynn Kerns

Gaye Lynn Kerns, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in Chouteau, OK, at the age of 81. Gaye was born on December 23, 1942, in Pryor, Oklahoma, where she cultivated a life filled with compassion, hard work, and love.
 
 Throughout her life, Gaye touched the hearts of many through her work as a caregiver at a daycare and later as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her nurturing spirit and dedication to helping others left a lasting impact on all those she cared for. In addition to her caregiving roles, Gaye also shared her talents as a hairdresser, bringing joy and beauty to those around her.
 
Outside of work, Gaye found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a green thumb and could often be found tending to her flower garden, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Her love for animals, especially her cherished cats, brought warmth and companionship into her home.
 
Gayle is survived by her sons Todd Kerns of Pryor, OK, Pete Kerns; daughter Delyn Kerns of Salina, OK; and grandchildren Lyndsey, Logan, and Krista Kerns, along with Silver and Cullen Patterson. She treasured her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Fada King; and stepfather Berry King.
