Geneva Atchley

Geneva Marie Atchley, 65, of Spavinaw, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 in Grove, Oklahoma. She was born on August 10, 1948; the daughter of Pompey and Vivian (Tucker) Carmen. Geneva enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She also loved antiques. Geneva was a member of the United Methodist Church in Spavinaw. She will be remembered by all the wonderful memories she leaves behind and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the United Methodist Church in Spavinaw, Oklahoma with Pastor Lora Stiles officiating. Interment will be in the Spavinaw - Strang Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her sons; Robert Wayne and wife Nancy Atchley of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Robert Wesley Atchley of Wisconsin; 1 daughter, Ronda Annette and husband Michael Walker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Bob Equels of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Atchley, her daughter, Nita Ann Atchley - Riddle and her parents, Pompey and Vivian Carmen.
