Geneva Lewis

January 29, 1917 — November 23, 2011

Geneva Lewis, 94, of Pryor, OK, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend left this world at home surrounded by her family, to dance on streets of gold, Wednesday, November 23rd at 12:10 p.m. As we sang to her she, stepped over into heaven and I am certain heaven rejoiced as she entered onto the streets and saw all who had gone on before. As a young child she worked in the cotton fields, picking cotton with no time to play until all the chores were done. She adored all of her family. A woman of honesty, integrity, compassion, faith, dedication, faithful to God and others. She never complained, no matter what her needs were she never voiced them. Geneva Lewis was well known in the community for the love she had for people and God. She and her husband, Clyde, started the Assembly of God Church in their home. Many lives have been touched because of it. She loved crocheting, cooking, making quilts and picking up pecans. She was an avid deer hunter and loved fishing and could out shoot the best of them. She worked at Moots hospital as a registered dietitian. Loved going to church, being with grandchildren, eating out with friends and paying her own way. Geneva was well known for Lewis' coffee shop and cafeteria, and making those delicious homemade pies. She enjoyed collecting and playing with her extensive doll collection. She was a great teacher of the word of God. Mom never ever complained even in her dying moments. She was so much like Jesus. She was an inspiration to many as a strong meek woman of God. She will be missed. This is the day she longed for, making heaven her home. We will meet you there soon Mother. Celebration Services for Geneva Lewis will be held on Monday, November, 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the North Elliott Church of God with Reverend Bob Killman officiating.
