George Ball

George Wilson Ball, 86, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 14, 1935 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Tonie Ball and Jane (Casey) Ball. He graduated from Pryor High School in the Class of 1955. George loved listening to bluegrass music. He also loved sports, especially when it came to the Oklahoma Sooners. George also looked forward to spending time with family and attending family gatherings. He loved his Lord and spent over 20 years as the pastor of the Locust Grove Church of Christ. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Come and go visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. George is survived by his wife, Rose Ball of the home; son, Tony Ball of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughters, Teresa Sandusky and husband Leslie of Pryor, Oklahoma and Jane Ball of Pryor, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Sandusky, Crystal Sanders, Tish Bradshaw, and Josh Ashburn; great grandchildren, George Gentry, Kylie Banister, Daniel Banister, Skyler Vanbuskirk, Isaac and Caleb; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tonie and Jane Ball; sisters, Mary Hardy and Katie Smith; brother, Leo Ball; and grandsons, Kyle Ball and Matt Sandusky.
