George Chuckluck Sr.

George Lee Chuckluck Sr., 77, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on October 25, 1935 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Bridge Chuckluck and Annie (Beaver) Chuckluck. He was self employed as a hot tar roofer and in lawn care. He married Virginia Sue Leaf on October 1, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma. He was a lifetime resident of the Salina area. George was a member of the Salina First Indian Church where he helped clean and kept the lawn and grounds looking nice. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and gardening. George enjoyed his family time. He had a big heart, always helping everyone who needed it. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for George will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Salina First Indian Baptist Church with Reverend Bridge Chuckluck and Reverend Raymond Chuckluck. Interment will follow in the Grass Cemetery with Ryan Nutter, Aaron Wilson, Luck Vincent, Billy Pickup Jr., Marcus Chuckluck and James Meeks. Honorary casket bearers are Tim Metaggart, Larry LeForce, Clifford Wolfe, T. C. Caldwell and Leo Meeks. A wake service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home; son, Lucus Eugene Chuckluck; his daughters, Mary and husband, Clifford Wolfe, Margie and husband, T.C. Caldwell, Bonnie Chuckluck, Christine Chuckluck, Magdalene Chuckluck, Angie and husband, Leo Meeks, Gloria and husband, Larry LeForce; brothers, Bridge Chuckluck Jr. and Raymond Chuckluck; sister, Sally Durant; 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bridge Sr. and Anne Chuckluck; son, George Lee Chuckluck Jr; brothers, James Chuckluck, Sr., Richard Chuckluck; sister, Jenny Harris, Fannie Kingfisher; grandchildren, Tara York, Kathelynn LeForce, Bryan Meeks and 5 infant siblings.
