George Crofford Sr.

George Phillip Crofford, Sr, 77, of Strang, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 5, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Elton and Sadie E. (Phillips) Crofford. George married Virginia Peal in 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He operated Crofford Machine Shop in Strang, Oklahoma for 35 years. George enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping out. He loved his family and will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Strang, Oklahoma with Reverend J. R. Curtsinger officiating. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home; his son, Phillip and wife, Ruth Crofford Jr. of Strang, OK; daughters, Kathy Lamb and Gary Anderson of Strang, OK; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Sadie Crofford; daughter, Debrah McPike; brother, Jerry Crofford, Elton Crofford Jr., Robert Crofford and Bill Crofford; half brother, Frank Monahan; sisters, Sadie Jewel Haines and Cherry Yantis.
