George Thornton Jr.

George Earl Thornton, Jr., 22, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 22, 1990, the son of George Thornton Sr. and Coweta (Beem) Thornton. He worked for Central Carbide as an assistance supervisor. He enjoyed being outdoor, especially fishing. George loved his family and friends and all the time he was able to spend with them. He left this world much too soon but leaves many memories for his family and friends to cherish. Funeral Services for George will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman‘s Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bridge Chuckluck Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Sweeten Cemetery at Inola, Oklahoma with Bennett Moore, Gary Thornton, Bobby Moore, Matt Thornton, Tyler Shanks, Troy Barrett and Tony Barrett serving as casket bearers. He is survived by his parents, George Thornton Sr. and Coweta (Beem) Thornton; his wife, Samantha Thornton; daughter, Cadience Marie Thornton; brothers, Mark Thornton, Nicholas Thornton and Brett Thornton; sisters, Ashley Thornton, Faith Thornton and Falesha Thornton; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Gillum; his uncle, Bill Gillum and his cousin, Austin Welch.
