Pryor

On January 27, 2025, Glenda Farrel (Mitchell) Gaither, with her children by her side, made her peaceful heavenly flight to her eternal home. Born in the summer of 1936, to Joe and Zelma (Tigert) Mitchell, she was the youngest of four daughters. She and her sisters, Tommy, Johanna and Pat loved traveling and being together. She graduated from Pryor High School. In August of 1969, she started her career with American National Bank. In May of 1982, she was promoted to Vice President until her retirement in 1992. She went above and beyond for her many customers. In April of 1978, she married Conard Gaither. They enjoyed a life filled with love and service. Traveling, antiquing, dancing, gardening and family activities were many of the things they enjoyed doing together, until his passing in August of 2012. She enjoyed her family and attending her grand and great-grand children’s activities. She loved nature, her rose gardens, watching sports, reading and cooking. You could always find her with a book or in the kitchen. She was an excellent cook. Christmas and Thanksgiving were her favorite family gatherings. She loved her church and its members. She was always helping with the church annual rummage sale, teaching Sunday School and assisting with the church dinners. Momma and Memaw were the names she loved the most. She was immensely loved, and her loss will be greatly felt by her family and all those who loved her. Her memory will continue to inspire strength, joy and kindness in her loved ones. She will be remembered by her two beloved children, Lesa (Gary) Long and Curt (Mindy)Cranford. She loved her grandchildren; Kyle (Ashley) Long, Cole (David Adams) Long, Caleb (Rheonna Stayathome) Long, Landon (Mindy) Beaver and Lauren (Andy) Holman. She dearly loved her great- grandchildren, Reese and Judd Long, Aiden Long, Hayden, Blakely and Rowen Beaver and Roland and Lilly Holman. Great nephews Joe and Stormy Stamper, great nieces Brandi and Kendall. A special niece, Joni (Steve)Messer and great nephew Tanner (Kaelyn) Messer.
