Glenda Carlene Williams

Glenda Carlene Williams, 78, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Claremore. Born on September 22, 1944, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Mildred Ivey. She graduated from Adair high school and later married Bernard Lee Williams. Many years of her life was dedicated to caring for and helping others as a certified medical assistant. Whether it was within the US or abroad, traveling was something she very much enjoyed. She also loved tending to the flowers in her garden and collecting Avon bottles. Leaving behind many memories for all to cherish, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Shipman’s Funeral Home. She is survived by her sons, Mark Williams and Ylana of Claremore, and Michael Williams of Bartlesville; sisters, Nellen, Phillys, and Wanda; grandkids, Kayla Williams and Ellie Brooks; and great grandson, Kendall. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mildred Ivey; and sisters, Gene, Bobbie, and Faye.
