Gloria Ramsey

Gloria D Ramsey, 67, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Tulsa. She was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on October 10, 1949; the daughter of Alvie and Phyllis (Whitmire) Ramsey. She worked at Moots hospital in Pryor and as a beautician. She loved working in the public with people. Gloria also enjoyed going on trips to the beach, traveling the world to see different covered bridges and to Colorado to the mountains. She was such a people person, never met a stranger. Gloria had 3 loves in her life, her dog, Sassy; her son Shannon, that she was very proud of and her Grandson, Gabriel that was the apple of her eye. She lived a long, wonderful life, full of memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Southside Christian church with Reverend Ken Gerhart and Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the Shipman' s Funeral Home Chapel. Gloria is survived by her son, Shannon Horton and his wife Linda Jo of Pryor, Oklahoma; 2 grandsons, Gabriel Horton of Pryor, Oklahoma and Michael Bogand and Patti of Adair, Oklahoma; niece. Brandy Kelly and husband Shawn of Jay. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Phyllis Ramsey and 1 brother, Dwight Ramsey.
