Gordon W. Lane, 56, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 6, 1961, in Saitama Ken, Japan, the son of a military family, to parents, Walter Jerry Lane and Minnie Loretta (Jarnagin) Lane. Gordon served his Country in the National Guard. He married Loretta K. Carter on September 23, 1982 in Enid, Oklahoma and made a wonderful life together. He worked as a calibration Technician for IPSCO for many years and he served as President and Vice President of the Local Steel Workers Union while working at the Port of Catoosa for Erlanger Tubular. His wife, Loretta, pastors the Sleepy Hollow Hill House of Prayer where they have served the Lord and others for many years. When asked about their father, his children all agreed what a wonderful father and grandfather he was. The memories of being outdoors hunting and fishing which he enjoyed so much. Gordon was a wonderful husband to Loretta, leaving many wonderful memories of their life together for her to cherish.
Funeral Services for Gordon will be held on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in the Sleepy Hollow Hill House of Prayer with Reverend Sam Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross Mayes Cemetery at Salina, Oklahoma with Justin Lane, Michael Wilson, Daniel Woolman, Doug Lane, Terry Lane and Jerry Lane serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are special family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sleepy Hollow Hill House of Prayer. He is survived by his wife, Loretta of the home; his children, Justin and wife, Lecresia Lane of Salina, OK, Vanessa and husband, Michael Wilson of Salina, OK, Rita and husband, Daniel Woolman of Salina, OK; brothers Doug and wife, Myrna Lane of Muskogee, OK, Terry and wife, Connie Lane of Muskogee, OK and Kevin and wife, June Haynes of Fort Gibson, OK; sister, Gaile and husband, Raymond Sisson of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Justin, Daniel, Gordon, Breanna, Matthew, Joshua, Kayleb, Larenia and Opal; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Minnie Lane; a brother, Michael Lane; a sister, Teresa Lane; a grandbaby, Lane, a grandbaby Wilson and a grandbaby Woolman.
