Guy Martin

Guy Raymond Martin, 81, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. He was born on March 14, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Guy Raymond Martin Sr. and Alice Joyce (Holton) Martin. He worked for Crete Trucking as a truck driver. Guy faithfully served his Country in the United States Navy as Seaman 2nd Class in WWII. He served on the USS-Wilkes-Barre and the USS Houston. Guy enjoyed fishing and especially traveling. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Guy is survived by his sons, Bryan and wife, Ann Martin of Port au prince, Haiti and Gabriel Martin of Izmir, Turkey; his sisters, Marjorie Siler of Wichita, KS and Barbara Bess of Wichita, KS; eight grandchildren; many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Alice Martin Sr.; one sister, Anita Sheridan; one son, Rex Martin.
