Hal Curnutt

Hal "Buddy" Curnutt, 76, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Shidler, Oklahoma; the son of Carl and Anna (Pulliam) Curnutt. He graduated from Pryor High School in 1955. After High School, he served in the Air Guard for 5 years. On January 6, 1961, he married Barbara Jobe in Pryor, Oklahoma. Buddy worked for Georgia Pacific for 42 years. He loved antique cars & spending time talking about cars with his nephew Chris. Buddy will be remembered for all the wonderful memories he leaves behind and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Chris Curnutt, Darrell Curnutt, Russell Jobe, Gary Jobe, Mike Sherman, and Gary Johnson serving as honorary casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel. Hal is survived by his wife, Barbara Curnutt of the home; 2 daughters, Cathy and husband Gary Johnson of Pryor, Oklahoma and Cyd and husband Mike Sherman of Pryor, Oklahoma; 1 granddaughter, Halle Sherman of Pryor, Oklahoma; nephew, Chris Curnutt; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Curnutt and his brother Marvin Curnutt.
