Hank Williams Sr.

Hank Lee Williams Sr., 52 of Salina, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on February 17, 1965 in Martinez, California; the son of Robert and Patricia Cantey. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, watching races and hanging out with his dogs, Jack & Jill. He looked forward to eating his steak and baked potatoes. Hank was a simple man that loved his family. He looked forward to spending time with those he loved most, and cherished every minute he had to spend with them. He leaves behind many memories for his family and friends to hold dear and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Eddie Bob Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the Spavinaw - Strang Cemetery with Hank Williams Jr., Steven Schaumburg, Wesley Schaumburg, Andrew Kohler, John Ballew and Tim Ragsdale serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Bill Williams, Rod Wilson, Walt Schaumburg, Steve Birkes and Orvel Ballew. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Hank is survived by his sons; Hank Lee Williams Jr. of Salina, Oklahoma, Robert Eugene Williams of Salina, Oklahoma; brother, Bill Williams and wife Bertie of Pryor, Oklahoma; sisters, Cathy Williams of Concord, California, Nancy Schaumburg and husband Walt of Pryor, Oklahoma; Marie Lenzi of Antioch, California, Shannon Birkes and husband Steve of Pryor, Oklahoma; Anita Vasarhely and husband Joe of Pinole, California; Sally Cantey and Brenda Williams of Salmon, Idaho; grandchildren, Patrick and Patricia Williams.
