Harold Lee Richards, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 22, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on August 17, 1946, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to his parents Henry “Jack” Richards and Brunell (Hinson) Harwell. 

Harold led a fulfilling life centered around faith, family, and fellowship. His dedication to his community was exemplified through his role as a member and deacon of Lakeview Church in Salina. Harold's commitment to serving others and spreading kindness left an impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In his free time Harold enjoyed various hobbies such as church fellowship, cooking delicious meals, and playing games with his friends. His adventurous spirit led him to explore different places through travel, creating cherished memories along the way. However, above all else, Harold treasured moments spent with his family, particularly his children and grandchildren who held a special place in his heart. Harold Lee Richards will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.

Left behind to honor Harold’s legacy are his wife of 41 years, Debbie Richards; sons, Ron Richards and wife Anne, and Ray Richards; daughter, Melody Prehn and husband Jerry; brother, John Richards and wife Camie; sisters, Barbara Hite, Jackie Richards-Colbert and husband James, Tammy Richards-Nelson and husband Aaron; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Richards and Brunell Harwell; and brother, Chris Richards.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina, Oklahoma. To leave his family a message, please visit his Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.
