Helen Morgan

Helen Morgan, 79, of Pryor, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home. She was born on December 25, 1939 in White Oak, Oklahoma; the daughter of Raymond and Rosetta (Colvin) Breshears. She married Franklin Morgan on October 12, 1956 in Pensacola, Oklahoma. Helen was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor and enjoyed attending services there. She looked forward to antique shopping and watching Dr. Phil. She also enjoyed anything Victorian, and was known for cooking pies, especially coconut, and Frankie’s favorite, lemon. She also canned anything from the garden she could, and enjoyed working in the kitchen.  Helen worked as a pharmacy tech most of her life, working at many pharmacies around the area. She also worked as a waitress at Thomas’s Restaurant for many years. Helen was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor with Reverend Rusty Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Clyde Alred, Steve Gates, Clarence Odle, John Walker, I.B. Williams, and Barrett Williams serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Helen is survived by her husband, Franklin Morgan; daughter, Karen Sweet and husband Steve of North Bend, Oregon; brother, Frank Breshears and wife Marie of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandsons, I.B. Williams and partner Keith Bohannon of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Barrett Williams and wife Nicole of Madison, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Audrey Williams, Charlotte Williams, and Ivan Williams V. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Rosetta Breshears, son, Harold Morgan, and brother J.L. Breshears.
