Helen Weaver

Helen Weaver, 87, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 3, 1930 in Wewoka, Oklahoma; the daughter of Roy and Bertha (Nalley) Adams. She married Pete Weaver on May 8, 1946. They made their life in Pryor, and owned and operated Pete's Drive In for over 30 years. Helen loved her family and looked forward to attending family gatherings. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, dancing and shopping. Helen was a member of the First Church of God in Pryor. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Dennis Nance and Reverend K.E. Gerhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Bob Chambers, Larry Ramsey, Larry Rice, Charlie Williams, Bill Kolb and John Hawkins serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 25, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Helen is survived by her son, Herb Weaver and wife Karen of Collinsville, OK; daughter, Debbie Smith and husband J.C. of Pryor, OK; brother, Pokey Adams and wife Claudia of Spavinaw, OK, LeeRay Adams and wife, Wauhillau of Locust Grove, OK; sister, Wanda Fry and husband Odie of Pryor, OK; 4 grandchildren, Jenny Cooper and husband Kenny of Pryor, OK, Dani Weaver of Collinsville, OK, Tiffany Graves and husband Russell of Tulsa, OK and Valarie Probst and husband Andrew of Sapulpa, OK 6 great - grandchildren, Grace Cooper, Kendall Graves, Alex Probst, JB Probst, Spencer Weaver, and Augustine Graves; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bertha Adams, husband, Pete Weaver and daughter, Glenda Weaver.
