Homer Leach

Homer was born to Betsy Kingfisher and Leonard Leach on November 18, 1962. He attended Locust Grove and Salina Schools. He met Barbara Scott in 1984 and they were married in 1986, where he met and raised Misty Powell and also had two sons together, Stephen Leach in 1988 and Bobby Joe Leach in 1989. Homer worked as a laborer for Pryor Truss Company for 13 years and also built Pole Barns. He loved fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Visitation Services will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his sons, Stephen Leach of Teresita, Oklahoma and Bobby Joe Leach and wife Summer of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Misty Powell and husband Charlie of Teresita; sisters, Gwendolyn “Punkin” Steward and Vivian Leach of Salina, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tracie Nipps and husband Ethan of Teresita, Charles Powell and wife Cecila of Hulbert, Oklahoma, Destiny Powell of Teresita, Oklahoma, Sky Jamison and husband Tyler of Teresita, Oklahoma and Justice, John, Jasmine, and Jackie of Tahlequah, Cindy Leach of Salina; 4 great grandchildren; Brantley Perry, Morgan and Layha Nipps, and Kaden Jamison; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Homer is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Leach; mother, Betsy Nutter and Richard Nutter; dad; Leonard Leach; brothers, Randy Nutter and Bryan Nutter; nephew, Ryan Nutter; niece, Trisha Steward; and brother in law, Bob Steward.
