Homer Wayne Spade, 68, of Washington (formerly of Kenwood), passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Everett, Washington. He was born on January 18, 1946 in Rose, Oklahoma; the son of Bert and Polly (Buck) Spade. Homer graduated from Sequoyah Indian High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He served his country during Vietnam in the Navy and later joined and retired from the Air Force. Homer worked at Boeing until the age of 65. Homer was a huge Seattle Seahawks fan and was overjoyed when they won the Super bowl. He loved to travel and spending time outdoors, especially when he was fishing. Homer loved to talk to his friends and enjoyed telling stories. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the Euwasha Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel. Homer is survived by his wife, Yvonne Spade of the home; 2 sons, Anthony Spade of Claremore, Oklahoma and Timothy Spade of Walters, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Dawn Spade of Cherokee, North Carolina; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Grant of Pryor, Oklahoma and Eliza Deere of Kansas, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Mark Ballard, Clayton Spade, and Darrin Spade and 3 great grandchildren, Ciaus, Garrison, and Tia; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Polly and Reverend Bert Spade; his first wife, Alma Ruth (Grigsby) Spade; 2 brothers, Johnny Spade and Everett Spade; and 2 granddaughters, Macy Dawn and Megan Renee.
