Howard Porter Kennedy II, born on January 11, 1970, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home, at the age of 54. He was known for his spirit and personable nature. Howard was an adrenaline junkie who thrived on adventure and always extended a helping hand to others.
His thrill-seeking activities like skydiving and scuba diving was evident in his vibrant personality. Howard found joy in being on the boat at the lake, surrounded by family and friends. He had a penchant for buying items to tinker with and engaging in buy-sell-trade hobbies. Additionally, his musical talent shone through as he played the bass in multiple bands. He also enjoyed his time working safety at the Tulsa Raceway for nearly a decade and retired as an OK Rider.
In the hearts of those who knew him well, Howard leaves a legacy of fond memories and cherished moments. He is survived by his son, Jacob Matthew Kennedy and Destiny of Muskogee, OK; stepdaughters, Sasha Pedersen of Kansas City, MO, and Alexis Pedersen of Burlington, Vermont; brother, Russell Scott Kennedy and wife Lorie of Dunbar, West Virginia; ex-wife and friend, Christina Hogle-Kennedy of Coweta, OK; along with grandchildren, Elijah David Medina, Robert Gunner Lee Kennedy, and Cheyanne Kay Kennedy.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Marcy Kay (Butcher) Wisman and Jerry Wisman; as well as his sister, Frances Kay Kennedy. His adventurous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
