Howard Thomas Trout of Pryor passed away on Friday Morning in Tulsa at the age of 90 years. Howard was born on November 3, 1920 in Strang, OK. The son of James L. Ethel (Kerns) Trout he grew up in the Adair area and graduated from Adair High School in 1942. Howard was married to Mildred Garner on March 21, 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 1942 till Nov. 1945. Howard was a code welder and worked for Texaco Oil Co making his home in Tulsa, retiring after 32 years of service. After his retirement he and Mildred built a home on Ft. Gibson Lake near Wagoner and the moved to Pryor in the early 1980's. Howard was 32nd degree mason in the Pryor Lodge, Also a member of the Pryor Odd Fellows Lodge, as well as the V.F.W. and the American Legion and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel of Pryor. Reverend Jerold Pilant will officiate with burial following in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery of Boatman.
