Howard Dale Witt, aged 78, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on January 26, 2025. He was born on April 29, 1946, in Mansfield, Arkansas, and lived a life filled with passions and cherished moments that left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Howard was a man of simple pleasures and diverse interests. He found joy in the great outdoors; riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, fishing, and spending time on Lake Tenkiller. His love for music and Western novels, especially those by renowned author Louis L'Amour, complemented his adventurous spirit, and his active membership in several bass clubs illustrated his dedication to his hobbies.
Family was central to Howard's life, and he took great pride in his relationships. He can be remembered for his hands-on approach to life, notably working on cars alongside his son, Brian. His devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
Howard is survived by his children, Brian Witt of Chouteau, OK; Cindy Witt of Sand Springs, OK; Amber Scott and husband Alvin; and Crystal, and his wife, Carolyn Gann, of Pryor, OK. Howard is also survived by grandchildren Nathan and Nicholas, who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. Additionally, his memory will be cherished by his nieces and nephews: Carloss, Terry, and Sandra Walters, as well as Sherron Churchill.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary (Hughes) Witt; his sisters, Ruth Walters and Wanda Mae Witt-Smith; his brother, Bob Witt; and his niece, Vicki Underwood.
