James Leslie Caldwell, 60, of Chouteau, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He was born on September 29, 1958 in Santa Maria, California; the son of Walter and Sarah (Skinner) Caldwell. He graduated from the Oklahoma School for the Deaf and Blind in Sulfur, Oklahoma in 1979. James worked most of his life for Allen’s Canning as general labor. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, going fishing, and building rustic shelving. He leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his sisters, Barbara Wood of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Jewel Ros of Houston, Texas, and Rita Mink of Paris, Arkansas; brother, Dennis Caldwell of Spiro, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sarah Caldwell; and brother, Walter Caldwell.
