James German

James Eldon German, 71, of Salina, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home in Salina. He was born on August 1, 1947 in Pryor; the son of Walter William and Wilma Izene (Ball) German. James worked for many years for GRDA as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. He loved woodworking, going fishing, and riding around on his land on his "gator". He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends, giving them each guidance through the years. He will be missed by his friends and family and leaves behind many memories for them to remember.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck and John Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross - Mayes Cemetery with Steve Gates, Larry Wood, Jackie Ball, Edgar German, D.J. Craig, Billy Smith, Kevin Wood, and Beau Bunnell serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. James is survived by his sister, Phyllis Vandall of Salina, Oklahoma; nieces, Shana Grass and husband James of Salina, Oklahoma; Shari Dill and husband Dennis of Tucson, Arizona; nephew, Brian Bunnell and wife Stacey of Dixon, Illinois and Billy Smith and wife Tiffany of Peggs, Oklahoma; several great nieces and nephews and cousins; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Wilma German; 1 brother and 1 sister.
