James Lee Gordon

James Lee Gordon, 79, of Pryor, passed away on July 11, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1945, in Jamestown, New York. In his younger days, James found joy in tinkering with cars and attending stock car races. His talent for baking shone through in the delicious fresh apple cakes he lovingly prepared for his family and friends. One of James's greatest pleasures was immersing himself in the beauty of nature and embarking on memorable road trips. Whether he was admiring the tranquility of nature or cruising along scenic highways, he found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. Though James may no longer be physically present among us, his spirit will live on through the kindness he showed and the joy he brought into the lives of others. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was truly loved and appreciated by many.

His memory will be cherished by his surviving family members: sons; Kevin Gordon and wife Robin of Pryor, Oklahoma and Jeremy Gordon and wife Tisha of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughters, Sue Cunningham and husband Brad of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Jennifer Hagar and husband Curtis of Stilwell, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Travis Cunningham, Jonathan Gordon, Ethan Gordon, Shaylee Hagar, Sammy Rott, Amelia Mendivil, Acey Hagar, Maddi Gibson, and Casey Hagar; 5 great grandchildren, Bailey, Bridgett, Braxton, Eli, and Elaine; mother of his children, Judi Roberts of Pryor, Oklahoma; special friend, Sheree Curtis of Pryor, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marilyn Gordon, 2 brothers, Robert and David Gordon; and daughter in law, Barbara Gordon. 

A memorial service to honor and celebrate James Lee Gordon's life will be held on November 30, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM at the Kevin and Robin Gordon Residence in Pryor, Oklahoma. The event will provide an opportunity for all who knew James to come together, reminisce about the special memories they shared with him, and find comfort in each other's presence.
