Locust Grove

James (Jim) Allen Klein, 72, of Locust Grove, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 23, 2024. Born on April 15, 1952, in Baltimore, Jim had a fulfilling career with American Airlines, where he worked as a dedicated and skilled mechanic for over 30 years. Beyond his career, Jim embraced his passion for flying, earning his pilot's license and enjoying time in the sky during his spare time. Jim found great joy in spending time and traveling with his family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and cherished memories. He loved watching movies and old TV series, reading, and exploring new ideas. A creative and resourceful man, Jim also enjoyed building things like the home he lived in and tinkering around the house, always eager to take on a new project. He was in the process of building an unconventional round house of his own design. Jim will be remembered for his warmth, curiosity, and unwavering love for those around him. He loved dogs, having adopted several that had wandered onto his property. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jim is survived by his brothers, Don Klein and wife Janet of The Woodlands, Texas and Larry Klein and wife Ann Jimerson of Washington, D.C.; sister, Donna Livingston and husband Donald of Ellicott City, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruth Klein.
