James Curtis Noland died on November 3, 2018 at the age of 63. James, known by many as “Jim,” spent much of his life as an over-the-road trucker hauling loads coast to coast. At a young age, James enlisted in the U.S. Army serving four years in Hawaii and California. A few years after the Army, he started his family in northeast Oklahoma having three sons – Michael, Jeremy and Travis. James moved from Oklahoma to Tennessee for work in the early 90s and later returned to southwest Missouri following the death of his mother. The most recent part of his life was spent doing lawn care with his brother, Tandy, and the other things he enjoyed. James was an avid bowler – recently celebrating 20 years of participation in the annual United States Bowling Congress’ National Tournament. He’s recorded multiple perfect games, an 800 series and other numerous awards. James bowled on numerous leagues in Joplin, Neosho and Pineville. Aside from bowling, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He loved his family and the many friends he made throughout his life.
