James Timmerman

Jim Timmerman, 77, of Vinita, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 13, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Louis Timmerman and Mollie (Telban) Timmerman. Jim faithfully served his Country in the United States Air Force. He married Barbara Butner on May 7, 1959 in Miami, Oklahoma. Jim worked in Boiler Inspection for Commercial Union Insurance Company. He was a A.S.M.E. OK Auto Dealer. Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather who leaves many wonderful memories for all to cherish. Funeral Services for Jim will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 1012 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Freddy Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Ghormley Cemetery in Pensacola, Oklahoma with John McKee, Bill Gilpin, Jack Smith, Chris Carpenter, Don Littlefield and Roger Miller serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer is James Gill. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; his sons, Louis and wife, Staci of Catoosa, Oklahoma and Charles Timmerman of Big Cabin, OK; his daughter, Cathy Timmerman of Bella Vista, AR; his brother, Jerry Timmerman of Bentonville, AR; grandchildren, Chelsey Jo Timmerman, Cody Wayne and Allyssa Timmerman, Brennor Timmerman, Ashley Timerman and Cody Browning, Destaney Timmerman; great grandchildren; Kailyn Timmerman and Tucker Browning. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mollie Timmerman; one son, Jerry Timmerman; one brother, Roger Timmerman.
