Janet Woods

Janet Marie Woods, 60, of Spavinaw, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Pryor. She was born on December 4, 1956 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the daughter of Charley and Rachel (Tanner) Davis. Janet enjoyed being outdoors; enjoying spending time at the creek and picking wild onions. She also liked to paint and crochet. She was a member of the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw and looked forward to spending time with friends and family. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw with Reverend Stanley Grass and Reverend Lloyd Boney officiating. Burial will follow in the Jack Ribbon Cemetery in Spavinaw, OKlahoma with Jason Boney, Justin Buzzard, Archie Buzzard, Brian Blackbear, J.D. Easter, Jr., and Issac Jumper serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Janet is survived by her husband, Tommy Woods of Salina; son, Nolan Davis of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; brother, Tommy Davis and wife Sherrie of Sperry, Oklahoma; sisters, Dorothy Boney and husband Lloyd of Salina, Oklahoma and Carolyn Blackbear of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Rachel Davis and niece; Paula Anderson.
