Jarry Alan Payton, 80, of Strang, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at his home in Strang, Oklahoma. Jarry was born on January 11, 194,1 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the son of John L. Payton and Blanch L. (Dean) Payton. Jarry worked as an inspector for American Airlines for many years. He was a very special man who made everyone feel special and loved. Everyone called him Daddy, because of the fatherly concern and love he showed each and every one, whether they were his child or someone else’s it did not matter. He enjoyed fishing but especially enjoyed hunting. Jarry had a special way to cook venison that everyone loved. He was a wonderful cook, whatever he fixed. He had a very special lady in his life he called Sweetheart. For 18 years they lived life enjoying family and great times together. He was a very special man who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Payton, of Strang, OK; his son, Brian Payton of Broken Arrow, OK; his Sweetheart, Doris Smith of Strang, OK; sisters, Juanita Mason of Bartlesville, OK, Betty Lowrey of Arkansas; his brother, Jimmy Payton and wife, Ella Mae of Texas; 27 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Blanch Payton; Brothers, Donald, Jack, Richard and Ray Payton; sister, Oletha Crabtree.
