Jeffery Scott McCutcheon, known fondly as Jeff, passed away peacefully at his home in Adair, Oklahoma on June 25, 2023. He was born on July 11, 1968, in San Pedro, California to his loving parents, Robert and Pamela McCutcheon.
Jeff was a loyal and committed employee to ABC Supply as a driver, friend, and mentor for many years. Jeff carried on the family’s business name of Middle Earth Transport and started his own venture as an owner/operator. He was so incredibly proud, as we were of him.
We have all watched Jeff rise above and overcome his past addictions and demons to become the fun, loving, positive Jeff we all knew and loved. He was a man with a huge sense-of-humor and an even larger heart. He was the life of the room, and he rarely ever found himself in a bad mood. He had a happy-go-lucky attitude, and no party will ever be the same. His infectious laughter, corny jokes, and willingness to be silly created an atmosphere of fun wherever he went. His love for his family was huge!
Jeff had many hobbies and loved finding old treasures, such as football cards, hot wheels, and Star Wars collectables. As a passionate sports fanatic, football held a special place in his heart. He had huge enthusiasm for muscle cars and an obsession for scary movies. Above all, Jeff possessed a deep love for animals and had the natural ability to connect with them. Jeff was prideful to be an American and loved his country.
Notably, Jeff served his country honorably in the United States Army. His time in the military instilled values of discipline and sacrifice that stayed with him throughout his life.
Jeff leaves behind a host of cherished memories for his loved ones to hold dear. He is survived by his devoted wife, Martha Hanna, and family; Bryce McCutcheon, Justin McCutcheon, Matthew Hanna and Ashley Davis and Abi Taylor, Forrest Hanna and Breanna Marino-Kohnen, and his beloved granddaughter, Ember Hanna. Jeff also held a special place in his heart for his cherished dogs, Baxter, Sadie, and Bella.
To honor Jeff's life and legacy, a memorial visitation will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Shipman's Funeral Home, with a memorial service immediately following, starting at 7:00 p.m., with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Jeff's departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who knew him. His laughter and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy lives on through the memories he created and the impact he made on so many lives.
