Jerry Garrison

Jerry Wayne Garrison, 50, of Adair, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born on June 9, 1966 in Pryor; the son of Jerry Wayne Garrison, Sr., and Martha Ann (Shrum) Garrison. Jerry was a hard worker and owned his own Tree Service Business. He enjoyed being outdoors; especially when he was fishing or hunting. He was very mechanical, and enjoyed working on trucks. Jerry also looked forward to attending the Salina High Banks Speedway and watching the races, and watching Street Outlaws on television with his son, Kamron. Jerry's children were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of Jerry's kind spirit, hardworking nature, love of the outdoors, and zest for life will live on through them. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Benge Cemetery with Kamron Garrison, Brandon Allison, Zachariah Garrison, Brandon Ayers, Derek Gossett, and James Ledford serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Jerry is survived by his son, Kamron Garrison of the home; daughters, Starla Kinion of Pryor, Oklahoma, Britnee Cothran of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Niesa Duke of Pryor, Oklahoma, Emily Duke of Pryor, Oklahoma and Sara Duke of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, Terry Garrison of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; sister, Heather Garrison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Martha Garrison and daughter, Tasha Hamilton.
