Jerry Helt

Jerry Lane Helt, 42, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his friends and family. He was born on November 18, 1974 in Tulsa; the son of Jerry Leon and Wanda Sue (Arnold) Helt. Jerry married April Totten, and from the marriage came two beautiful children, Shelby and Austin. Jerry and April, later divorced, but still had a great friendship, he later went on to meet Julie Keele, and they had been together, until his passing. Jerry owned Fast Lane Towing in Pryor and loved his job. You would many times see Jerry around Pryor, in his favorite Wrecker. Jerry looked forward to attending Rocklahoma every year, riding motorcycles, getting and seeing tattoos, and joking with friends. He loved to be around his friends and family, but his greatest joy in life were his children. He leaves this life much to soon, but leaves a legacy behind for everyone who knew him to cherish and remember.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 in the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor with Reverend Junior Mullin officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Charlie Taylor, Josh Goodson, Cory Foreman, Mitch Smith, Shane Church, and Justin Odle serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Jeff Graffenstein, Kyle Rimpley, Tristan Pahukoa, and Eric Stafford. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Shelby Helt of Pryor, Oklahoma; son, Austin Helt of Pryor, Oklahoma; mother, Wanda Helt of Pryor, Oklahoma; girlfriend, Julie Keele of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Kari Aburajab and husband Mo of Pryor, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Leon Helt.
