Jerry Helt

Jerry Leon Helt, 72, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Pryor. He was born on December 5, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Lane Andrew Helt and Mary Lee (Austin) Helt. Jerry faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. He married Wanda Sue Arnold on July 22, 1970 in Miami, Oklahoma. He worked for A.P. Green Fabrication for over 20 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed refurbishing houses and woodworking. Jerry was a member of the Pryor Elks Lodge #2320. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather who leave many wonderful memories for his family and friends to cherish. Funeral Services for Jerry will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ray Gwartney officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Tommy Arnold, Randy West, Kevin Bryant, Michael Harris, Jerry Arnold and Charles Taylor serving as casket bearers. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Helt of the home; his son, Jerry Lane Helt of Pryor, OK; his daughter, Kari Witt of Pryor, OK; two brothers, Andrew Lane Helt of Tulsa, OK and Ronald Gene Helt also of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Shaylan Dukes, Krista Akins, Shelby Helt and Austin Helt; many other relatives and friends.
