Jerry Lavere McCrabb, 83, of Adair, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. He was born on September 11, 1935 in Covington, Oklahoma; the son of Lester Lavere and Velma (Stark) McCrabb. Jerry married Sandra Gay on June 8, 1958 in Adair, Oklahoma and worked as a rancher most of his life. He enjoyed watching movies, especially westerns, and reading books of all types. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed each moment he had with them. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2018 in the Benge Cemetery in Strang with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Casket bearers will be Jerry McCrabb, Jr., Christopher White, Marlin Gee, Don McCrabb, Gene Osborn, and Butch Gay. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra McCrabb of the home; son, Jerry McCrabb, Jr. and wife Tamela Dailey – McCrabb of Adair, Oklahoma; daughter, Victoria Gee and husband Marlin of Adair, Oklahoma; brother, Donald McCrabb and wife Kay of Bellefourche, South Dakota; grandchildren, Shanna Marlin – McCrabb of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jamie White and husband Chris of Salina, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Rainey White and Nolan White of Salina, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Velma McCrabb and daughter, Claudia McCrabb.
