Jerry Lee McKee, 70, of Baldwin Michigan, passed away in Chouteau, Oklahoma on Thursday, April 18, 2019. He was born on October 23, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Tom Brown McKee and Virginia May (Barton) McKee. Jerry owned and operated a carpet business in Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years but was well known for his musical abilities. His band, Red Rock, traveled all over the country playing, especially in Vegas. He played with many musicians over the years. Jerry loved motorcycles and rode his all over the country. He had lived in Baldwin, Michigan for over 20 years having many wonderful friends and memories there.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He is survived by his sister, Dolores D. Miller of Citrus Springs, FL; granddaughter, Samantha Whitner of Tahlequah, OK; niece, Monica Ward and husband, Michael of Hernando, FL; nephews, Monty Taylor and wife, Shelly of Cornelius, NC and Lance Miller and wife, Elizabeth of Citrus Springs, FL; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom McKee; mother, Virginia Rake; one son, Tommy Lee McKee.
