Jess Brown III

Jess "Buddy" H. Brown, III, 63, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on May 23, 1949 in Deridder, Louisiana, the son of Jess Heard Brown Jr. and Wanda Louise (Burks) Brown. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Marines in Vietnam. He worked as a Journeyman Wireman Electrician for IBEW Local 716. Buddy enjoyed fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who leaves many wonderful memories for all to cherish. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday evening in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Brown of the home; his mother, Wanda L. Brown of Deridder, LA; his son, Jason Brown of Porter, TX; his brothers, Wayne Brown of Strang, OK and Gary Brown of Deridder, LA; his sister, Audrey King of Adair, OK; two grandchildren, Sheridan Brown and Marshall Brown; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Heard Brown Jr..
