Jess Feeling, 69, of Salina, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at his home. He was born on February 10, 1953, in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Andrew Feeling, Sr. and Nellie (Thompson) Feeling. Jess worked most of his life for Hem Saw, and then went to work for Sanders Nursery until he retired. Jess enjoyed working in the yard, mowing, and tinkering around the house. He also enjoyed his meals at Eastside Café in Pryor and Norm’s Café in Salina. Jess was a man of God and looked forward to attending church services at Ballou Baptist Church. Above all, Jess loved his family. He cherished each moment he had to spend with his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend and leaves behind many memories for his family to remember.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2022, in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Peak Cemetery in Eucha with Elijah Feeling, Josh Feeling, Nathenial Feeling, Jeremiah Feeling, Paul Henson, Daryl Laconsello, and James Proctor serving as casket bearers. Visitation and wake service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2022, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Ross leading the Wake Service. Jess is survived by his sons, Jeremiah Feeling of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joshua Feeling of Salina, Oklahoma, and Elijah Feeling of Dayton, Texas; daughters, Marissa Feeling of Salina, Oklahoma and Jessica Feeling and Shane Bemis of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Thomas Feeling of Pryor, Oklahoma and Jackie Feeling and wife Stella of Eufaula, Oklahoma; sisters, Verlyn Starr of Salina, Oklahoma, Carolyn Henson and husband Benny of Salina, Oklahoma, and Elaine Holata of Wewoka, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, MiaLe Feeling, RaNiyah Williams, Lynlee Feeling, Kambri Feeling, EhZiah Williams, Chenoa Bemis, and Chayton Bemis; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Nellie Feeling; wife, Teresa Feeling; brothers, Robert, Andrew, James, and Bobby Feeling; and sister, Elsie.
