Jesse Chancellor

Jesse Elden Chancellor, 68, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, January 01, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born June 10, 1949 in Kenwood, Oklahoma; the son of Leroy and Thelma (Adams) Chancellor. Jesse faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971; and earned a bronze star, purple heart and many other medals and accommodations. After serving his country he was self employed as a Roofer. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Claremore, Oklahoma. He also loved going fishing. Jesse loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them especially his grandchildren. He leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the Kenwood School Gymnasium in Kenwood, Oklahoma with Joe Pigeon officiating. Burial will follow in the Welch - Prairie Cemetery with Adam Conway, Aaron Conway, Mike Chancellor, Bud Chancellor, Alfred Sixkiller, Ronnie Joe Conway serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Vernon Chancellor, Garret Chancellor, and Boley Chancellor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife Daisy of the home; sons, Ryan Chancellor and wife Ashley and Trenton Chancellor and wife Megan all of Pryor, Oklahoma; Daughter, Lisa King of Catoosa, Oklahoma; sisters, Rita Whittington and husband Kenneth of Leach, Oklahoma; Verda Englehard and husband Jim, Jeanie Conway and husband Danny, and Lori Conway and husband Ron all of Kenwood, Oklahoma; brothers, Vernon Chancellor and wife Virginia of Kenwood, Oklahoma; Garrett Chancellor and wife Jamora of Coweta, Oklahoma; Earl "Boley" Chancellor and wife Nan Montgomery of Salina, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Thelma Chancellor and brother, Wayne Chancellor; sister, Katherine Hightower.
