Jessie Mills was born in Davenport, Oklahoma on October 13, 1946 to Robert and Floy Miller. Being raised on a dairy farm in Chandler, Oklahoma she was taught the lessons and rewards of hard work and a strong work ethic.
Jessie is survived by her daughter, Janet Pruitt, granddaughters Chelsey Cravens and Savannah Maldonado and her only grandson, Sam Cravens, three great grandchildren, Hynnli and Holden Anderson and Asher Maldonado, and expecting a second great granddaughter on Mother's Day 2023, one sister, Beverly Sloan, nieces Lynn Henderson and Dani Harding and great nephews Brady, Blake, and Bennett Henderson, along with several other nieces and nephews. Jessie is preceded in death by her father: Robert Miller, stepmother Janet Seitsinger, brother, Bobby Miller and sisters Margie Williams, Jerry Walker, and Lorena Brown.
Before Jessie's battle with cancer began, she would be working all the time. Either with her work family at Lakeland or working on her daughter's mini-farm or caring for, running for, or doing for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always painting, cleaning, repairing or planning something productive. She had many friends "in the business” and she would often travel with her closest friends and family. Many of her trips were cruises, skiing trips, theme and waterparks with the grandkids and great grandkids or a brief run to the casino with her bestie, Kimm Kennon. She always attended events where her family was competing. She followed Sam to many rodeos/ropings and certainly had to include the fur babies during these extraordinary traveling events. She was her grandkids and great grandkids' biggest fan and loudest cheerleader! She never missed out on the fun!
Jessie was very active either working or playing and when she wasn't doing either, she would stay informed of world events, military history and anything related to CSI, true crime stories and documentaries. She attended church services weekly and continued to pursue her relationship with Jesus. She was a very strong willed and minded lady, and she could find a solution to just about any problem independently. If she couldn't, which was rare, she would find someone who could. She will be missed by all and she touched so many lives. Her babies: Darcy, Coco and her rescue kitty cat, Frankie will miss her immensely. We love you and know that you're resting in the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
