Jess “Tree” Blossom, Jr., 48, of Locust Grove, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on April 2, 1973 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Jess Blossom and Mary Sue Pickup. Tree married Jennifer King in Locust Grove, Oklahoma on February 21, 2012. He enjoyed fishing, mowing, and hunting crawdads. Tree loved being outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. As a teenager Tree started in the roofing business, he worked for Dawson Roofing for many years. Tree last worked for On the Rock Roofing, he enjoyed his job. His family church was Little Rock Indian Baptist Church. Tree loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them. He leaves behind many memories for his family to remember.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 in the Little Rock Indian Baptist Church with Reverend Duke Pickup officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Rock Indian Cemetery with William Backwater, Willie Fencer, Randall Fencer, Tony Soldier, Robert Cota, Brian Terhune, and Don Wise serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Thomas Easky, Tommy Pickup, John Pickup, Brent Lyman, Bryce Lyman, Jacob Kingfisher, Traiven Kingfisher, Mykoda Bacon, Immanuel Bacon, Isaiah Smith, and Terrance Lansaw. Visitation and Wake Service will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Tree is survived his wife, Jennifer Blossom of the home; sons, Nathan Snell of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Terrance Lansaw of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughters, Cherri “Cherokee” of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Emilie Ainesworth of California and Clara King of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Thomas Blossom and wife Sara Tulsa, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren; sisters, Lena Soldier and husband Tony of Salina, Oklahoma, Kimberly Kingfisher and husband Randall Fencer of Salina, Oklahoma, Mariah Mora and husband Adam of Salina, Oklahoma, Amanda Cota and husband Robert of Salina, Oklahoma, and Annette Bacon of Salina, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jess Blossom, Sr., and mother, Mary Sue Soldier; sister, Beverly Blossom; uncles, Melvin, Barry, Judge Blossom, Scott, John and Duane Pickup; aunts, Mable Backwater, Letha Blossom, Virginia Chuckluck, Joyce Easky, and Lorene Hair; niece, Aiyana TyLee Bacon; and nephew, Trailon Caine Fencer.
