Jim John

Jim St. John 74 of Pryor passed away Saturday October 7, 2012 in Madil, Oklahoma. Jim was born on March 20, 1938 in Cade, Oklahoma the son of Jim and Thelma (Vickers) St. John. When he was 4 years old the family moved to Tulsa. He was a graduate of the 1956 Class at Owasso High School. Before moving to Owasso he attended school in Collinsville. He attended Northeastern State University and Tulsa University and was a member of the Church of Christ in Pryor. His working career spanned from Purchasing Agent at North American Rockwell Aviation in Tulsa to Facilities Manager at the Marley Cooling Tower Company in Pryor. After a successful career in the cooling tower industry he has been a full time bus driver for the Pryor Public Schools for the past 17 years. Jim very much enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended the 52nd Annual St. John family Reunion on October 5-7th, 2012 at Lake Texoma in Kingston, OK and was surrounded by his children, grandchildren, sisters, aunts, uncles and lots of cousins. Funeral services for Jim will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church, Salina, Oklahoma with Reverend Kennith Stacy officiating. Interment will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Fair View Cemetery, Owasso with Jarrod Spencer (nephew) officiating. Casket bearers will include Jarrod Spencer, Andy Spencer, John Honeywell, Brooks West, Mike Ward, and Robb Kitlen. Jims family will receive friends at Shipman's Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service. Survivors include wife, Andrea of the home, sons, Matt and Denise St. John, Broken Arrow and Mark St. John, Pryor, two precious granddaughters, Regan and Sarah St. John, of Broken Arrow. Sister, Wanda St. John, Owasso, Margaret and Ken Spencer, Henderson, Nebraska, Terrie Warren Webb, Ft .Worth, Texas. Aunts, Dorothy Ward, Wichita Fall, Texas, Ina Robinson, Durant, OK, Uncle Ralph Lorene St. John, Piedmont, OK. Also, mother-in-law Rose Beck, Salina Sister-in-law Regina Robb Kitlen, Pryor. Jim is preceded in death by his mother Father.
