Jimmie Long

Jimmie Lloyd Long, 86, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Tulsa. He was born on March 20, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the son of Enno Lee and Christine (Snider) Long. He faithfully served his country in the United States Airforce and was honorable discharged on January 7, 1955. Jimmie married Wanda Jean McClellan on June 9, 1955 in Chouteau, Oklahoma and made a life together for 63 years, until her passing on December 19, 2018. He worked for 32 years as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines and retired and fished the next 32 years. Jimmie looked forward to spending time outdoors, going fishing and watching baseball. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor with Reverend Ray Gwartney and Reverend Rusty Harrison officiating. Jimmie is survived by his sons, Gary Long and wife Lesa of Pryor, Oklahoma and Bryan Long of Gore, Oklahoma; grandsons, Kyle Long and wife Ashley, Caleb Long and wife Krissi, Cole Long, Luke Long and wife Marissa and Jade Long; 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Enno and Christine Long; wife, Wanda Long; and 3 brothers.
